Booster Doses Against Covid-19 Now Available In Dallas County; See Who Should Receive One

Dallas County Health and Human Services says that booster doses are now available for people in certain groups who received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago.

According to the CDC, the populations who SHOULD receive a booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine include:

  • People ages 65+
  • Adults ages 18+ living in long-term care settings
  • People ages 50–64 with an underlying medical condition

According to the CDC, the populations who MAY receive a booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine:

  • People ages 18–49 w/ an underlying medical condition
  • People ages 18–64 who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure because of the setting they work or reside
