2 Teens Receive $50,000 Grant For New Trees At Cimarron Park

Two Irving teens and brothers, Dhruv Nanda and Vansh Nanda formed a nonprofit called "Mission Tomorrow".  Through that nonprofict, they applied for a grant through Lowe's "100 Hometowns" program.  Mission Tomorrow received the grant, and the nonprofit’s leaders and a team of volunteers from Lowe’s worked to get them planted. Members of the City of Irving’s Urban Forestry Team provided instruction and guidance."

The $50,000 grant paid for 100 new trees and irrigation at Irving's Cimarron Park.  Members of the City of Irving’s Urban Forestry Team provided instruction and guidance.

"We were looking for ways to improve the community and help," said Vansh Nanda in an interview with ICTN's City Source program.
