On January 16, 2022, the Irving Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Liquor Depot located at 1500 N. Story Rd #610 (near Kroger's). The first emergency units were on-scene 5 minutes after receiving the call. A total of 9 pieces of emergency equipment were sent to extinguish the fire. The fire was contained to the store and was under control in just 5 minutes. The Mr Wong's Chicken & Rice Restaurant next door was filled with smoke and the health department was notified in order to complete an inspection.
There were no injuries reported.
