A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in South Grand Prairie Thursday morning.
According to reports, shots were fired around 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of W Westchester Pkwy near the S Carrier Pkwy intersection.
The victim has been identified as Walter Umukoro. Umukoro was found with gunshot wounds that caused his death.
Grand Prairie Police detectives say that Umukoro and the unknown shooter were engaged in some sort of disturbance in a parking lot that lead to the fatal shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 972-988-8477. Police are offering a cash reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
