On Sunday, July 24, 2022 at about 5:19 pm, the Balch Springs Police Department received 9-1-1 calls of a shooting that accurred in the City of Balch Springs on westbound IH-20 at Seagoville Road.
A road rage incident between a Honda sedan and a dark-colored sedan resulted in one of the occupants shooting at the Honda sedan striking an 8-year-old boy. The 8-year-old boy was transported to Chilrdren's Hospital where he remains stable along with two other children suffering non-life threatening injuries.
Since the Honda stopped at westbound IH-20 and US-175, Dallas Police responded and assisted.
The suspect vehicle is described to be a dark colored sedan occupied with at least two occupants. The driver is described as a hispanic male, thing build, thin goat-tee wearing an orange shirt. The passenger is described as a heavy set hispanic male.
