DFW Airport Launches Non-stop Service to Auckland

Customers at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) now have a new destination to explore with the launching of non-stop service on American Airlines to Auckland, New Zealand. American Airlines will operate this seasonal flight daily on a Boeing 787-900 aircraft.

Service to Auckland begins Saturday, Oct. 29, and it is DFW’s second destination in Oceania.

“The addition of non-stop service to Auckland caps off a year of significant international growth at DFW,” said Chief Executive Officer Sean Donohue. “Our customers will benefit from not only a new destination they can get to from our Airport but an additional opportunity to visit the Southern Hemisphere and a chance to enjoy New Zealand’s largest city and all it has to offer.”

The DFW to Auckland flight is one of only a handful of U.S. flights to New Zealand, and it is the only U.S. flight to New Zealand for the oneworld alliance. This route connects customers to The City of Sails, located on the North Island of New Zealand, which is the country’s largest city and is host to major sporting events, festivals, high-end shopping, concerts, and world-class food and wine.

This new service connects New Zealand customers to over 200 destinations and builds on the strength of oneworld’s alliance and how it helps make DFW the second most connected airport in the world.
