Irving's USOSM Inks New Partnership in Kentucky and Tennessee

U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) – a specialty management services company that exclusively serves premier oral and maxillofacial surgeons – is excited to announce a partnership with Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery, a private oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) practice with one location in Murray, Kentucky, and one location in Union City, Tennessee.

Led by Michael L. Bobo – DDS, MD, FACS – Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, oral/facial pathology, facial trauma and more. With a location in Kentucky and another in Tennessee, Dr. Bobo maintains both dental and medical licenses for both states, a unique distinction in the region.

“Dr. Bobo is a highly skilled surgeon, who is well-known and well-liked in the communities he serves and throughout the OMS industry as a whole,” said Richard Hall, USOSM president and CEO. “We are honored to partner with him.”

As its partner, USOSM will provide Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery with business support services. Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery will retain complete clinical autonomy, continuing to focus on patient care.

“Being a part of a larger organization like this can be very beneficial for our patients and our staff because of the resources and infrastructure USOSM brings,” said Dr. Bobo. “I’m also excited to be a part of USOSM because of the community of surgeons that have already joined USOSM. This is an elite group, the best of the best, and I’m proud to be a part of that.”

Dr. Bobo earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, his DDS from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Bobo completed a general surgery internship and an OMS residency through Vanderbilt University. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He also is certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.

In addition, Dr. Bobo is an American Heart Association CPR instructor and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He also is a past president of the Kentucky Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Purchase Area Dental Society and the medical executive committee of Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Dr. Bobo sits on the editorial review board for the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is an assistant clinical professor in the OMS department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
