Tarrant County Sheriff Officer Killed in Arlington Car Crash

On Friday, February 24, 2023, at approximately 7:09 a.m., Arlington Police Department, Arlington Fire Department, and Arlington EMS responded to the southbound lanes of Highway 287 near Little Road to investigate a single-vehicle rollover.
 
According to witnesses, a vehicle was traveling in the left lane when it suddenly veered across the other southbound lanes, went off the roadway, and struck a metal sign, causing the vehicle to roll.
 
The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old man, was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Arlington firefighters. He was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries. During the course of the investigation, it was determined he was a Detention Officer with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.
 
There was no one else inside the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved.
 
Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as Jail Corporal Aaron Iseman. Authorities say he was driving home from work when the collision occurred. 

According to a press release, Iseman started his career at the Tarrant County Sheiff's Office in 2018.

Arlington Police will conduct the investigation into the crash.
