Inspiring Teen Girls is Focus of Future M.E. Conference to be Held in Irving

Middle school and high school girls are invited to an afternoon of motivation and empowerment at this year's Future M.E. conference. The event will take place 1 to 5 p.m. March 11 at Senter Park Recreation Center, 901 Senter Road.

The primary mission of the Future M.E. conference is to inspire adolescent girls to recognize their own value and encourage positive growth. The workshop provides teens the necessary resources to prepare them for adulthood and allows female role models a chance to share individual experiences and offer encouragement to each participant. The annual conference is planned to coincide with National Women's History Month.

Attendees to this year's conference can expect powerful speakers, valuable breakout sessions, college resource information and other activities in a fun and engaging atmosphere.

Conference Includes:

  • Keynote Speaker - Tia Banks
  • Social Media Safety
  • Professionalism
  • College enrollment resources
  • Breakout sessions
  • Empower Hour (information and resource fair)
  • Lunch

Registration is free and open to middle and high school aged girls from across North Texas. Due to limited enrollment, advance registration is required by March 4. For details, call Kierra Walton at (972) 721-2529 or email FutureMe@cityofirving.org.
