At approximately 6:53 pm on October 1, 2023, Watauga Police Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 5900 block of Dunson Dr near the Ship Dr intersection. Upon arrival, officers discovered one juvenile victim with a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was promptly transported to the hospital for medical treatment by Watauga medics.
The alleged shooter has been identified as 18-year-old Ayden Stephen Blair. Blair is now wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Family Violence causing Serious Bodily Injury.
Despite an extensive search of the surrounding area, Blair remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Watauga Police Department is urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Ayden Stephen Blair to come forward and contact them immediately at 817-514-5897.
