An assistant principal at V.R. Eaton High School in the Northwest Independent School District (NISD) was arrested this week and charged with child sex abuse. Fort Worth police apprehended Mose Brown on Monday night and charged him with the continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.
The arrest came to light when Eaton High School parents received a letter on October 2, 2023, from Principal Stacy Miles, disclosing that their assistant principal had been taken into custody. Northwest ISD confirmed that Brown had been employed as an assistant principal at Eaton High School since July 2020.
In a statement, the school district clarified that the matter does not involve a current or former NISD student, and law enforcement authorities are not actively seeking additional victims. The Texas Education Agency also reported that Mose Brown had previously worked for both Fort Worth Independent School District (ISD) and Keller ISD.
Following his arrest, Brown has been placed on administrative leave and is no longer permitted on the school's campus.
The investigation is ongoing.
