On Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:30 pm, emergency response teams from the Haslet Fire Department, Fort Worth Fire Department, MedStar EMS, and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Farm to Market Road, just south of Avondale Haslet Road.
According to authorities, the incident occurred when two vehicles collided in a head-on accident at a curve in the road.
Tragically, one of the drivers involved in the crash sustained critical injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby trauma center by MedStar EMS. Regrettably, despite efforts to save him, the 82-year-old man was pronounced deceased.
In the aftermath of the accident, Farm to Market Road 156 was temporarily closed while the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into the collision.
