In a recent court trial, Henry Arnold has been found guilty of second-degree Aggravated Assault Serious Bodily Injury. The case, prosecuted by lead attorney Samantha Jarvis and second chair Caitlin Paver, involved a severe incident of family violence.
The defendant and the victim were in a romantic relationship, which took a violent turn when Arnold admitted to "snapping" during an interview. The assailant used a wooden pole to beat the victim, causing it to break into three parts during the assault. Subsequently, Arnold grabbed another stick to continue the attack, leaving the victim with multiple bruises on her back and arms, shaped like the weapon.
The assault resulted in severe injuries, including fractures to the victim's orbital bone, cheekbone, and jaw. Emergency surgery was necessary to repair the fractures, and a doctor testified to the extent of the injuries during the trial. The victim, who will suffer lasting damage and blurry vision in her eye for the rest of her life, bravely testified about the harrowing incident.
Although the defendant had no previous family violence convictions and was eligible for probation, the jury delivered a verdict of guilty. Henry Arnold has been sentenced to three years in prison for the second-degree Aggravated Assault Serious Bodily Injury.
