On Tuesday night, July 23rd, at approximately 8:07 p.m., an Alvarado Police officer conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, the male passenger, identified as Jeremy Buster Coker, a 30-year-old white male, fought and assaulted the officer. Peggy Rudene Rotenberry, a 41-year-old white female and wanted felon, was also a passenger in the vehicle. Both Coker and Rotenberry fled on foot and remained at large.
The Alvarado Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's assistance in locating Coker and Rotenberry. Authorities were actively searching for the pair.
On Wednesday, July 24th, Coker was captured and taken into custody. Rotenberry remains at large.
