On July 23, 2024, at approximately 9:45 am, Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Riviera Apartments located in the 11700 block of Audelia Road in Far Northeast Dallas.
Upon arrival, officers found 28-year-old Ariel Wesley shot in an apartment. Dallas Fire Rescue arrived on the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation identified a woman suspect, 21-year-old Amori Jones. Jones was taken into custody and charged with murder. Her bond has been set at $1 million. The relationship between the suspect and the victim has not been disclosed.
