BAE Systems Control Inc, a global company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defense, security and aerospace systems in the air, on land and at sea, will cut 450 jobs within its manufacturing operations segment as the company transitions its Irving location into a hub for the production of commercial avionics products.
The transition will cause 85 percent of the facility's work at the Irving facility to be transferred to other BAE Systems sites. The majority of the transferred work will go to the company's manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN. Job cuts associated with the facility restructuring will begin in April or May and occur over a 15-month period. Once the staff reductions are complete, the Irving facility located at 3131 Story Road West will have 150 employees.
