Part of South Irving to Undergo Fogging Treatment After Positive West Nile Virus Mosquito Sample

IRV-05 area

Dallas County Health and Human Services has reported a positive West Nile Virus sample from mosquito traps in the South Irving area, specifically around E. Hunter Ferrel Road and Mountain Creek Preserve.

To address this health concern, the City of Irving will conduct truck-mounted ultralow volume (ULV) fogging from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. from September 23 to 26, weather permitting. The treatment aims to reduce mosquito populations and mitigate the risk of West Nile Virus transmission in the affected areas.

Since May 30, the City of Irving has taken proactive measures to combat mosquito populations throughout various parts of the city. In response to positive West Nile Virus samples, officials have implemented regular spraying to reduce health risks.

Residents can view the complete spraying schedule and affected zones by visiting the city's official website. For more details, visit: Infected Mosquito Treatment Zones Schedule.
