On Thursday, October 3, 2024, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Plano Police officers responded to a stabbing and kidnapping in the 2400 block of W. Spring Creek Parkway. Upon arrival, officers determined that Raul Puente, 23, of Dallas, along with an associate, Ivan Puente-Ledezma, 23, kidnapped a woman known to them and her 4-year-old child during a domestic violence incident.
Two adult males attempted to intervene but were stabbed by one of the suspects. The woman and child were forced into a black Mazda 6 and kidnapped.
The Plano Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division located the suspects in the 400 block of Hollywood Avenue in Dallas, where both men were taken into custody. Raul Puente faces charges of Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, while Ivan Puente-Ledezma has also been charged with Aggravated Kidnapping.
Both victims were safely rescued, and police praised the swift efforts of their team in securing the arrests.
