Two Irving ISD high schools have been recognized with 2024 Honor Roll Distinctions from College Board for the Advanced Placement (AP) performance of the Class of 2024.
The campuses and their respective awards are:
- Irving High School, Gold Distinction
- Singley Academy, Silver Distinction
The College Board awards distinctions based on several key metrics:
- College Culture: The percentage of students in the graduating class who took an AP exam during high school.
- College Credit: The percentage of students scoring 3 or higher on any AP exam.
- College Optimization: The percentage of students who took 5 or more AP exams, starting in 9th or 10th grade.
