Dallas Cowboys: Can they make it to the NFL Playoffs

stories/random-football-pic.jpg

Following a humiliating 47-9 loss to the Lions during their Week 6 fixture, the Dallas Cowboys fell to a disappointing 3-3 record in the NFL rankings. Even worse, their bye week campaign didn’t do them any favors as far as their NFC East race is concerned. The Cowboys watched both the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders pick up victories and they will need to split their remaining games to get a chance of reaching the NFL playoffs.

Looking at the overall NFC playoff rankings, as Cowboys are currently sitting No. 10 behind the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the race to secure the last wild-card spot, currently belonging to the Chicago Bears. That means the Cowboys need to secure more victories if they are to have a chance to make it to their fourth consecutive postseason campaign.

The Cowboys are determined to secure multiple wins in the upcoming weeks, despite having a tough schedule that includes the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10, the Houston Texans in Week 11, and the Commanders in Week 12. Here is how football experts at SportyTrader expect the Cowboys are expected to fare in their next three games after facing the Philadelphia 49ers in Week 8.

Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons (Week 9)

While it is hard to know how the Atlanta Falcons will fare at this point, this might be a challenging fixture for them. That’s because there are some weeks where the Falcons have performed incredibly well and downright dreadful in others. A good example of this is their 20-point loss against the Seahawks during their Week 7 game.

Looking at the Falcons' previous performances, betting experts believe the Cowboys will secure a win in this fixture. The Falcons’ defense is currently allowing 336.1 yards per match and Dak Prescot can exploit that. Of course, the key to them winning will be limiting turnovers, which they can apply in their next four games. Additionally, the Cowboys are averaging 119.6 rushing yards per fixture led by Bijan Robinson, and allowing 143.2 yards on the ground, so it will be interesting to see how the fixture plays out.

Dallas vs Philadelphia Eagles (Week 10)

This Week 10 fixture will be the second divisional game for the America’s side and the first of their two matches against the Eagles. Philadelphia will walk into this fixture after what is expected to be an easy victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Currently, this looks like a fixture that the Cowboys will lose and that doesn’t have to do anything with the fact that they are yet to win a match at home this season. Although the Eagles haven’t faced any challenging opponents recently after earning victories against the Giants and Brown, they are getting a nice rhythm in recent times.

Atlanta Cowboys at Houston Texans (Week 11)

The Houston Texans have proven to be incredibly good this season considering their performance in Week 7 over the Green Bay Packers. During this fixture, C.J. Stroud recorded only 10 out of the 21 passes to mark a career-low 86 yards. Additionally, Houston was without five defensive starters and wide receivers Robert Woods and Nico Collins.

Despite the gaps in their squad in Week 7, the Texans still recorded a last-minute goal from Brando McManus to record a victory. That suggests this Week 11 fixture will be another home game loss although they can record some points. NFL experts predict the match will finish with a semi-shootout with the Cowboys recording a 34-24 loss.
