American Airlines has announced its role as the official airline partner for the Latin GRAMMY Awards®, which will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary on November 14. The prestigious event is returning to Miami, the city that hosts the Latin Recording Academy’s headquarters.
The Latin GRAMMY Awards® are recognized as the foremost international honor for excellence in Latin music worldwide and are the only peer-selected awards in this category.
“American is excited for the return of the Latin GRAMMYs to Miami, our leading international gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean,” stated Juan Carlos Liscano, American’s Vice President of Miami Hub Operations. “We look forward to welcoming attendees to Miami International Airport, where American offers up to 400 daily nonstop flights, with 170 flights to more than 70 Latin American and Caribbean destinations, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil.”
To celebrate this milestone, American Airlines is launching a sweepstakes for AAdvantage® members, offering the chance to win two tickets to the Latin GRAMMY Awards® and 60,000 AAdvantage® miles. Members can enter by providing their AAdvantage® number and contact details, while non-members can enroll for free before entering. The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. CST on November 7, with a winner to be notified around November 8.
As part of the anniversary celebrations at Miami International Airport, American Airlines will feature:
- A custom art installation honoring current and past Latin GRAMMY Award® nominees, providing a unique photo opportunity.
- Music from nominees and past winners playing in front of La Carreta near gate D38 from November 10 to 13, between 4 and 8 p.m.
- A specialty cocktail, El Viajero, created in partnership with Don Francisco Coffee, available at the Admirals Club® lounges at gates D15 and D30 from November 12 to 17.
American Airlines also emphasizes its partnerships with brands that align with Latino culture, including:
- Joanna Vargas, a celebrity esthetician whose skincare products are inspired by her Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage, featured in American's amenity kits.
- Ostrichpillow, co-founded by Spanish CEO Pablo Carrascal, which provides the Nimbus Pillow for Premium Economy passengers.
- Don Francisco’s Coffee, offering fresh cafecito brews in select Admirals Club® lounges in the Northeast, Southeast, and Florida.
Through its sponsorship of the 25th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, American Airlines aims to highlight the cultural significance of music within the Latino community and reinforce its commitment to connecting families and travelers across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Additionally, American Airlines actively supports the Latin community through partnerships and community involvement. Earlier this year, the airline collaborated with Carter’s Kids to build a playground for the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade. Its partnership with Glasswing International has included volunteer efforts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, benefiting over 3,000 students with educational support and fostering career awareness in aviation for future generations.
