Robert Joseph Skillman, 33, of Killeen, Texas, was arrested on November 7, 2024, following an investigation into the online solicitation of a minor under the age of 14. The Prosper Police Department, in collaboration with the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, initiated the investigation in early 2024 after receiving information about inappropriate online communications with a local minor.
The investigation led detectives to Skillman after they traced the communications to his IP address. In May 2024, detectives executed a search warrant at Skillman’s home in Killeen, where they seized multiple electronic devices. A thorough examination revealed explicit conversations involving minors. Based on this evidence, an arrest warrant was issued, and Skillman was taken into custody.
Skillman is currently held in Killeen and will be transported to the Collin County Jail to face charges of online solicitation of a minor under 14, a second-degree felony.
The Prosper Police Department thanks the Killeen Police Department and other law enforcement partners for their assistance in the investigation.
