UPDATE: On November 26, 2024, the U. S. Marshals Task Force arrested 32-year-old Akil Rice in connection to this offense. Rice is charged with Murder and is currently in Dallas County Jail.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a call for service in the 3500 block of Jamaica Street in South Dallas. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
No suspect has been identified at this time, and investigators are urging the public to provide any leads that may assist in solving the case.
The investigation remains ongoing and is documented under case number 174553-2024.
