Irving Police Seek Suspect in Wallet Theft and Fraudulent Purchase

The Irving Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft and fraudulent purchase on November 16, 2024. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle at 3538 World Cup Way, and later that day, the thief used an American Express card from the wallet to make an $865.99 purchase at Best Buy. The item purchased was a Segway Max G2 electric scooter, according to receipt records.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect getting into a white or silver truck after the purchase. The Irving Police Department has provided a photo of the suspect and is encouraging anyone with information to contact Investigator Perkins at 972-721-2706 or rperkins@cityofirving.org.   • Always take personal belongings with you when leaving your vehicle.
  • Lock your car, even for short trips.
  • If your wallet is stolen, immediately call your bank to freeze your accounts.
  • Report suspicious activity in parking lots to store security or 911.
