On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Irving Police responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a truck tractor on westbound East Irving Boulevard in Downtown Irving, between Strickland Plaza and Porter Way.
The crash caused significant damage to electrical poles, knocking them down and creating a hazardous situation in the area. Due to the extent of the damage, police announced that the roadway is likely to remain closed until at least Wednesday.
Oncor crews are on-site assessing the damage and working to restore safety and power. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while repairs are underway.
