On January 27, 2025, a Dallas County jury found 29-year-old Felipe Antonio Ramirez of Irving guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under the age of 14 and sentenced him to 50 years in prison.
The case was investigated by the Irving Police Department and prosecuted by Kalle Riner and Aryanna Bradford. DA Investigator Laura Brakefield and DA Victim Advocate Audri Graham also assisted in the case.
Ramirez was originally charged on November 14, 2020, and his trial was set for October 12, 2021. However, he failed to appear in court while out on a $100,000 bond, prompting a warrant for his arrest. His trial was delayed for over four years due to legal proceedings and defense motions. He was re-arrested in 2024 to ensure he stood trial.
After delivering their verdict, the entire jury remained in the courtroom to listen to victim impact statements and offer words of support to the victim and her family.
