Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will introduce a streamlined fare structure on March 1, 2025, aimed at improving clarity and convenience for riders.
“Our goal is to make fares more straightforward and equitable for all passengers,” said Jing Xu, Assistant Vice President of Service Planning and Development for DART. “By consolidating and refining our fare products, we aim to maintain a balance between affordability and the high level of service our customers expect.”

Key changes include replacing single-ride, AM, PM, and midday passes with a standard 3-Hour Pass. While the Day Pass price remains unchanged, the Monthly Pass will see an increase. The Retail Annual Pass will be discontinued, but rates for corporate annual pass members remain the same.
Veterans will receive a 50% discount and can apply for a reduced fare card through DART. The half-price Discount GoPass Tap program for qualifying agency beneficiaries is now permanent. A new tiered discount system is available for bulk sales, including special events, corporate partners, and educational institutions, which now extend to kindergarten through fifth grade.
Some adjustments, such as changes to the corporate annual pass and education programs, took effect on January 1, 2025. Riders can visit DART.org or call 214-979-1111 for full details.
