UIL Realignment Puts Irving Schools in Tough District

Irving, Texas. February 1, 2010 – Irving schools have been placed in District 6-5A as per the new realignment from the UIL (Texas's University Interscholastic League).

 
The new district looks like this:
 
UIL Realingment
2010-2012 Football
2010-2011 Basketball
  • Colleyville Heritage
  • Euless Trinity
  • Grapevine
  • Haltom City Haltom
  • Hurst Bell
  • Irving
  • Irving MacArthur
  • Irving Nimitz
  • N Richland Hills Richland
The new alignment will make the football season interesting with six of nine teams having been playoff teams last season.  Haltom, MacArthur, Grapevine, Heritage, Nimitz and Trinity made it to the playoffs with Trinity finishing up as state champion in 5A Division I.
