Jeremy Albright, 41, of Plano, TX, died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, near the intersection of Independence Parkway and Citadel Drive.
Plano Patrol Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the scene at approximately 1:00 AM. A preliminary investigation revealed that Albright was driving a four-door Mercedes southbound in the 3800 block of Independence Parkway when he failed to navigate a curve in the road.
The vehicle crashed through a wooden fence near a residence on Citadel Drive and then collided head-on with a large tree, causing the car to catch fire. Plano Fire-Rescue personnel extricated Albright from the vehicle, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash, and toxicology results are pending. The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit is conducting an ongoing investigation.
