Two Killed in Motorcycle-Truck Collision in Plano

A serious injury traffic crash on Saturday evening in Plano has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The collision, involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck, occurred near the intersection of 14th Street and Del Sol Drive at approximately 7:15 PM on May 3, 2025.

According to a preliminary investigation by Plano Police, a 21-year-old male, Elvin Bonilla of Plano, was driving a motorcycle westbound in the 3500 block of 14th Street. A pickup truck, driven by a 33-year-old male, was traveling eastbound on 14th Street and attempted to turn northbound onto Del Sol Drive when the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the truck.

Both Bonilla and a front-seat passenger in the pickup truck, identified as 58-year-old Carmina Ramirez of Plano, sustained serious bodily injuries in the crash. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.

All three individuals were transported by Plano Fire-Rescue to Medical City of Plano. Bonilla and Ramirez later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Plano Police indicate that speed appears to be a contributing factor in the collision. The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
