On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Plano Police Officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 3600 block of Ridgewood Circle. The caller reported that a female had been shot at the residence.
When officers arrived at the scene, they were confronted by an adult male suspect outside the home. The suspect fired a weapon at the officers, prompting one officer to return fire. The suspect was struck and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Plano Fire-Rescue transported the female victim to a local hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No officers were injured in the incident.
Police confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active and is being handled by the Plano Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit.
