Dallas Teens to Receive Free Admission to 2026 State Fair Through City Partnership

DALLAS — Dallas teens will get a free trip to the State Fair of Texas this fall, thanks to a new partnership between the Dallas Park and Recreation Department and the State Fair of Texas.

Youth who participate in the department’s Teen All-Access Pass Program this summer will receive one-time admission to the 2026 State Fair of Texas, valid any Monday through Friday during the Fair’s 24-day run at Fair Park.

The 2026 State Fair of Texas runs from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, October 18.

Expanding Access to a Texas Tradition

City leaders say the addition of the State Fair builds on years of collaboration and expands access to one of the state’s most iconic events.

“We’re excited to welcome the State Fair of Texas as a partner in our Teen All-Access Pass Program,” said Crystal R. Ross, Senior Deputy Director of Dallas Park and Recreation. “They’ve been a longtime partner with us on other projects, and we’re grateful to work with them to support Dallas youth.”

Ross said free admission gives teens more chances to make lasting memories.

“Giving teens free admission to a Texas tradition like the State Fair and the iconic Fair Park means more opportunities for them to create unforgettable fun and experiences. We appreciate the State Fair’s commitment to our community.”

Mitchell Glieber, president of the State Fair of Texas, said organizers are eager to take part.

“We look forward to welcoming Dallas teens to the State Fair through this program and we hope that our participation might lead to increased growth in the overall program,” Glieber said.

About the Teen All-Access Pass Program

Now in its sixth year, the Teen All-Access Pass Program provides Dallas residents ages 13 to 17 with complimentary admission to popular cultural, educational and recreational attractions across the city. Since launching, the program has distributed more than 25,000 passes.

The State Fair joins a growing list of partners, including:

  • Dallas Arboretum

  • Perot Museum

  • Dallas Zoo

  • Dallas Museum of Art

  • Sixth Floor Museum

  • Shakespeare Dallas

  • Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

  • Trinity River Audubon Center

City-operated venues participating in the program include:

  • Dallas Public Library

  • Bahama Beach Waterpark

  • Southern Skates Roller Rink

  • Bath House Cultural Center

  • Latino Cultural Center

  • South Dallas Cultural Center

  • Oak Cliff Cultural Center

The program is designed to keep teens engaged, active and safe during the summer months, while also highlighting July as Park and Recreation Month — a national celebration of parks, public recreation and the professionals who provide those services year-round.

Details about pass distribution and additional participating venues will be announced in early summer. More information will be available at DallasParks.org.
