Uber Passenger Arrested Outside Irving City Hall After Stripping Naked in Backseat

Esteban Mendez

IRVING, Texas — An Uber passenger was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly exposing himself inside a rideshare vehicle before being dropped off at Irving City Hall.

At approximately 1:47 a.m. on February 22, 2026, an Irving Police officer responded to Irving City Hall for a welfare check involving a male Uber driver who reported inappropriate behavior by his passenger.

According to police, the driver told officers that his passenger, 33-year-old Esteban Mendez, removed all of his clothing in the backseat of the vehicle before reaching his destination. The driver stated he was offended by the behavior and instructed Mendez to exit the vehicle in the City Hall parking lot.

During the investigation, Mendez reportedly told officers he removed his clothing because he was “horny” and admitted to touching himself while naked in the backseat of the Uber.

Mendez was taken into custody and initially charged with Indecent Exposure.

Police later discovered Mendez had a prior indecent exposure conviction in San Antonio on February 10, 2026. Court records show he was sentenced to 30 days in jail but was released after receiving credit for time previously served following an October 2025 arrest.

Because of the prior conviction, the Irving charge was upgraded to Indecent Exposure with one previous conviction.
