Lake Highlands and Richardson Pearce have already clinched playoff beths. Irving, Nimitz and Richardson Berkner have been eliminated.
Pearce vs. MacArthur on Thursday will decide the fate of the district’s last two playoff hopefuls.
MacArthur must beat Pearce by nine or more to make the playoffs and will be guaranteed the No. 2 seed in the Division I playoff bracket.
If MacArthur loses to Pearce or wins by eight or less, MacArthur is eliminated and Richardson will earn the fourth playoff spot as the No. 2 seed in Division I.
If MacArthur beats Pearce, then MacArthur, Pearce and Richardson will finish in a three-way tie with 4-3 district records. A points-differential tiebreaker from head-to-head matchups between the three would decide the final playoff berth.
