Urban Engineers is pleased to announce that Patrick Williams, PE, LEED AP, was named to Drexel University’s Top 40 under 40 program. Mr. Williams, a proud graduate of Drexel, is a senior project manager and Urban’s southwest regional leader based in Irving.
“Drexel was one of the most formative pillars in my life, and remaining involved in the university’s community has remained important to me since graduation,” Mr. Williams said. “Being named to the Top 40 Under 40 program is an incredible honor, and I could not be more humbled by this distinction from such an important academic institution.”
Mr. Williams has more than 16 years of engineering design and construction management experience, with specialty focus on airport design and site development. He is skilled in designing pavement for runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, and parking lots; as well as completing Federal Aviation Administration-compliant obstruction analyses and security fence and gate hardening work. He is also adept at performing stormwater management calculations; designing ADA-compliant facilities; providing horizontal and vertical pipeline alignments; and applying best management practices to design, utility relocation, erosion and sediment control, and environmental permitting efforts. Mr. Williams consistently meets fast-track schedules for complex projects for clients such as the City of Dallas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Trinity Metro, Texas; the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, and more.
The Drexel 40 Under 40 program recognizes some of our most promising, entrepreneurial, creative and inspiring alumni. To be eligible, alumni must be 39 years or younger and they must have received a degree from Drexel University. The university says that members of the program are proof that cooperative education produces graduates with the creativity and resilience to solve problems for which there is no pre-existing answer key.
