Two People Found Shot Dead at Southlake Texas Home Identified

At around 10:21 am on July 5th, Southlake officers responded to a house in the 600 block of Regency Crossing after receiving a 9-1-1 call of a shooting at the location.

That part of Southlake, Texas has homes valued at over a million dollars.

Officers arrived within minutes and discovered two people deceased inside the residence - a male and female - both with apparent gun shot wounds.

The identity of the deceased persons is not being released pending the notivication of next of kin.

The incident is currently under investigation and no additinal information is available at this time.

UPDATE: According to medical examiner records, the murder has been ruled a murder-suicide.  

The woman, identified as 74-year-old Ann Rackley Waltrip, died by homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.

The man, identified as 74-year-old William Robert Waltrip, died by suicide from a gunshot wound to the head.
