The Richardson Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Thursday morning at the intersection of N. Collins Blvd and Municipal Drive.
At 9:07am, Richardson Fire/EMS and Police responded to the intersection for a two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
Accident investigators say two SUVs were traveling southbound on Collins Blvd when one attempted to make an abrupt left turn from the center lane. This SUV hit the second SUV in the left lane, causing the SUV in the left lane to spin out and strike a pedestrian walking across Collins Blvd.
Richardson paramedics transported the 63-year-old female pedestrian to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The accident remains under investigation.
