In a bi-district playoff game, Irving (17-1-1) downed Arlington Martin (8-9-3) by a score of 5-0 last Friday night at Pennington Field, Bedford.
The tigers dominated the game and scored all 5 goals in the first half. Martin had plenty of opportunities to score in the second half, but Irving's goalie was unpenetrable.
Irving moves on to a second round match against McKinney Boyd (13-4-6) on March 28 at 7 pm. The match will be played at the MISD Stadium and Community Event Center, 4201 S. Hardin Blvd., McKinney, TX 75070.
