The City of Irving recently drafted a policy designed to make city data more open and available to the public. The vision is that open data will create lasting improvements to transparency and accountability to residents and other stakeholders to drive innovation, increase civic participation and improve how the city serves its residents.
The draft policy is available online, and residents, business owners and their employees, and other stakeholders are invited to comment on it. Read the full policy, and follow the link at the end to comment on it as a whole or on specific parts. Comments will be accepted until Feb. 7.
This invitation is open to the public; consider sharing this message with colleagues, collaborators, neighbors, friends and relatives who reside and work in Irving.
