Trophy Club police officers have successfully apprehended a 22-year-old male from Arlington, Texas in the early hours of June 18, 2023, for the felony offense of Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m., the suspect was taken into custody by Trophy Club officers, marking a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
Utilizing the Flock Safety Cameras, law enforcement was initially able to trace the whereabouts of the suspect's vehicle. However, an obscured license plate hindered their ability to gather essential information. Undeterred by this setback, officers employed their investigative skills to cross-reference the camera data, leading them to obtain an accurate vehicle registration for the suspect's vehicle.
Following the successful identification of the registered owner, officers proceeded to interview him, subsequently leading to his arrest.
A witness to the event commended the police department's efforts, stating, "This guy was flying when he passed us on the shoulder while evading PD, who followed shortly after... kudos to PD for maintaining a safe pursuit speed while attempting to catch this guy through a residential neighborhood."
The arrest comes after police had asked the public's help in identifying the motorcycle operator.
