In Memory Of

Serenity Jeazabel Rangel

With broken hearts and profound love, we honor and remember our beautiful 18 year old daughter, Serenity Jeazabel Rangel, who passed away on October 9, 2026, just shy of celebrating her 19th birthday on November 29.  She graduated in 2025 from Nimitz High School in Irving, TX.

From the time she was a little girl, Serenity carried a bright, joyful light that filled every room. She was born with a natural love for music and a camera ready spirit always making videos, capturing life's moments, and singing her heart out. Serenity had an incredible talent for music and knew every single lyric to virtually every song across any genre. One of her favorite pastimes was teasing her brother Andrew whenever he was scrolling through TikTok, she'd sing along to whatever played. He'd scroll to the next video just to stop her, only for Serenity to instantly start singing that one, too, absolutely loving every second of annoying him.

Serenity truly enjoyed life, always getting into something, embracing every moment, and living life to the absolute fullest. She achieved a proud milestone in graduating high school and was actively attending college, stepping confidently into a bright future with her whole life ahead of her. As she grew into a young woman, her passion blossomed through makeup and fashion expressing her artistry, beauty, and unique style in everything she touched. She loved jewelry, always adorning her hands with rings on every single finger. To know Serenity was to know her sweet, playful love for all things Hello Kitty, matched perfectly with her iconic, unforgettable "boss" personality. Anyone who knew her knew how bossy she was, in and out, taking charge with a confidence and charm that was uniquely her own.

Above all, Serenity had a massive heart for her family. She was deeply cherished by her grandparents, Juan and Maria Rangel, who were like parents to her and helped shape the loving young woman she became. She deeply loved her siblings and even when she'd playfully say they didn't like her, the bond they shared was undeniable. In their own special ways, they all constantly showed their deep, unbreakable love for one another. Serenity was also bursting with happiness, eagerly counting down the days to welcome her baby brother, Legend, arriving this December.

Her time with us was far too short, but her fierce spirit, her laughter, her music, her accomplishments, and her radiant smile will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her most.

Serenity is survived by her loving mother, Noemi; her stepdad, Michael; her biological father, Ramon Sarmiento; her grandparents who were like parents to her, Juan and Maria Rangel, Cathy Benitez, Maria Chacon, Antonio Chacon; her beloved brothers, Andrew, Jaylah, Anthony, Amari, and her expectant baby brother, Legend; her sister Jaylah; her half sister Ailanny; her uncles Jorge and Antonio Rangel;her cherished extended family; and a wide circle of friends who will miss her beyond words.

"Your light was too bright to ever fade, your spirit too strong to ever be forgotten, and your song will stay in our hearts forever."
