18-Wheeler Crashes and Bursts Into Flames on I-20, Driver Killed

On Sunday, February 16, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Dallas Fire Rescue and Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a major accident along eastbound I-20 at Highway 310 in southeast Dallas.

According to officials, the driver of an 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound when they encountered an existing accident on the highway. The driver swerved to avoid a collision, causing the truck to crash off the roadway and catch fire.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Lanes of eastbound I-20 were reopened around 1:00 p.m. as crews cleared the wreckage.
