A 36-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon after colliding with a box truck at the intersection of Legacy Drive and Anniston Trail, according to the Plano Police Department.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. on March 1, 2025, Plano Patrol Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the scene of a serious injury crash. Investigators determined that a box truck traveling eastbound on Legacy Drive made a left turn onto northbound Anniston Trail. A motorcycle, traveling westbound on Legacy Drive, attempted to pass traffic and collided with the passenger side of the truck.
The motorcyclist, identified as Domin Obed Ullo Calix, was transported by Plano Fire-Rescue to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the box truck was not injured. Authorities stated that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, but speed appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
