17-year-old Seagoville Murder Suspect Arrested in Dallas
Daquan Damon Blanton

On March 9, 2025, the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested 17-year-old Daquan Damon Blanton of Seagoville in Dallas, Texas. Blanton was booked into the Dallas County Jail and charged with:

  • Capital Murder
  • Three counts of Aggravated Robbery
  • Two counts of Theft

His total bond has been set at $1,460,000.

Authorities had issued five warrants for Blanton's arrest, linking him to a series of robberies. Investigators say Blanton and others in his group arranged meetings with individuals selling jewelry and watches through Facebook, only to rob them during the exchange.

Blanton was also identified as the primary suspect in a December 2, 2024, murder in Seagoville. That incident began as a robbery at a community park in the 600 block of Fountain Drive and ended with a fatal shooting.

According to witnesses, the victim and suspect were inside a blue Hyundai when a shot was fired. Both individuals exited the vehicle, with the victim running about 60 feet to a gazebo while the suspect fled the park on foot.

The victim, identified as 39-year-old William Henry Dean, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, where he later died.

The investigation remains ongoing.
