Dallas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 3300 block of Ingersoll Street in West Dallas early Thursday morning.
On April 3, 2025, at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call and discovered 20-year-old Adan Sanchez, who had been shot by a known suspect. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the scene, where Sanchez was pronounced deceased.
The suspect had fled the location before police arrived but was located a short time later in the 4800 block of Bernal Drive. Upon being confronted by officers, the suspect shot themselves. DFR transported the suspect to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
The Dallas Police Department is actively investigating this incident under case number 046299-2025.
