Woman Killed, Another Injured in Downtown Dallas Shooting

Dallas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the 1800 block of Main Street in Downtown Dallas.

Officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 5, 2025, and found that two individuals had been shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported both victims to a local hospital.

One of the victims, 28-year-old Ashlee Renee Long, succumbed to her injuries at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. The condition of the second victim has not been released.

The Dallas Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the shooting, documented under case number 047333-2025.
