The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday, April 27th, at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of W. Tarrant Road.
Officers responding to the scene located a male with an apparent gunshot wound outside of his vehicle. The victim, now identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office as 18-year-old Jose Luis Flores, was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect(s) had fled the area before police arrived and have not yet been located.
Based on evidence found at the scene, detectives believe Flores was involved in high-risk activity at the time of the shooting.
