Man Fatally Shot After Argument in Fort Worth; Suspect at Large

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot early Friday morning in the 11200 block of Golden Triangle Circle.

At approximately 2:31 a.m. on May 23, 2025, Fort Worth Police North Division officers responded to a call for investigation and discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest or torso. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

According to initial findings, the victim and suspect had been involved in a verbal altercation that witnesses attempted to de-escalate. After the argument, the suspect retrieved what is believed to be a rifle from a vehicle and returned, shooting the victim at least once in the torso. The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim was identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 34-year-old Archie Adam Goins.

No arrests have been made. The Fort Worth Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case.
