On Sunday, August 17, 2025, at approximately 7:36 p.m., the Richland Hills Police Department and Fire Department responded to a reported shooting in the 3600 block of Chaffin Drive in Richland Hills, Texas.
Emergency personnel arrived to find a 42-year-old white male in the backyard of the residence with a gunshot wound to the head. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation indicates the injury was self-inflicted, and no foul play is suspected. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and will release the identity of the deceased after proper next-of-kin notification.
