Hispanic Man Fatally Shot in Northwest Dallas
UPDATE: On August 21, 2025, 22-year-old Rocky Mejia Jr. was arrested by the Dallas Police Department and charged with Capital Murder in connection with this case.

Dallas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Monday morning in Northwest Dallas.
Officers responded around 3:20 a.m. to the 3200 block of Lombardy Lane, where they found 34-year-old Juan Hernandez Esparza lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Hernandez Esparza was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
